The South Pointe (Phoenix, AZ) varsity basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against East Valley Athletes for Christ (Mesa, AZ) by a score of 67-54.
The East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host South Pointe Griffins to 54 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now have a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Mission Heights Prep for a non-league game on Friday, December 20.
With the loss, South Pointe falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Heritage Academy (Mesa, AZ) to confront the Heroes in a Canyon Division 3 - Sahuaro game on Thursday, December 19. The Heroes go into the game with a record of 4-1. Heritage Academy won 85-54 in their recent non-league game against Empower College Prep (Phoenix, AZ)
