Rhode Island High School Basketball - Central triumphant over Mt. Pleasant
January 15, 2025: Providence, RI 02908 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Central Knights (Providence, RI) and the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), observed Central's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Pleasant by a margin of 68-38.
The Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Friars come into the non-league challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Anthony's trounced Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY), 72-61, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Kilties battle the North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI) in a Division I challenge, on Friday, January 17. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Skippers come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 73-67 league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI).
