Rhode Island High School Basketball - East Providence holds off Mt. Pleasant
December 19, 2024: East Providence, RI 02914 The East Providence Townies basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Mt. Pleasant Kilties to 53 in the Townies league triumph on Thursday.
The Townies now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Barrington for a Division 1 game on Monday, December 23. East Providence will confront a Eagles team coming off a 77-69 league loss to Central (Providence, RI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Mt. Pleasant falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Kilties host St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI) to confront the Saints in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Saints go into the game with a record of 1-3. St. Raphael Academy lost 60-50 in their recent league game against Middletown (Middletown, RI)
