Rhode Island High School Basketball - East Providence fells Rogers
January 27, 2025: East Providence, RI 02914 The East Providence Townies basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Rogers Vikings to 40 in the Townies non-league triumph on Monday.
The Townies now have a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Hendricken for a Division I game on Wednesday, January 29. East Providence will confront a Hawks team coming off a 78-43 non-league win over Wareham (Wareham, MA). The Hawks record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Rogers falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI) to confront the Chargers in a Division II game on Wednesday, January 29. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 4-11. Chariho lost 80-56 in their recent non-league game against Westerly (Westerly, RI)
