In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting East Providence Townies basketball team scored a good 50-42 triumph over the Tiverton Tigers.

The Townies (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Bulldogs go into the Division 1 contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Westerly topped Narragansett (Narragansett, RI), 75-68, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chariho for a Division 2 battle on Monday, December 16.
