In Monday's league contest, the visiting East Providence Townies basketball team scored a close 60-53 win over the Lincoln Lions.

The Townies (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Shea (Pawtucket, RI). The Raiders come into the Division I contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Shea edged Cranston East (Cranston, RI), 58-53, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions encounter the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) in a Division I test, on Wednesday, January 15. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Clippers come into the test with a 2-8 record after their 62-48 league loss to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI).
