The Pinecrest Patriots topped the visiting Apex Friendship Patriots basketball team by a final score of 74-66 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 game, on Tuesday, January 17. Pinecrest will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 8-7 record after their 45-39 league loss to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).
