Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Melcher-Dallas Saints (Melcher, IA) and the visiting Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), saw Melcher-Dallas's basketball squad hold off Diagonal by a count of 53-51.

With the victory, Melcher-Dallas upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Saints host Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA) to play the Saints in a Bluegrass challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Mormon Trail won 67-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Wayne (Corydon, IA)
