Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA), 51-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Diagonal upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Maroons host Orient-Macksburg (Orient, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a Bluegrass bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Warriors play the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Seymour will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Sabers come into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 68-19 non-league loss to Ankeny (Ankeny, IA).
