The Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC) basketball knocked off the visiting May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), 61-52 in Tuesday's league test.

The Cougars (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Bluffton (Bluffton, SC). The Bobcats go into the AAAA Region 7 test with a 7-9 record. In their last test, Bluffton went down by James Island (Charleston, SC), 58-39, in a league test.

The Sharks now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Hilton Head Island for a AAAA Region 7 test on Friday, January 19. May River will encounter a Seahawks squad coming off a 68-60 league loss to Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Seahawks record now stands at 4-13.
