The Lucy Beckham Bengals basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting May River Sharks to 38 in the Bengals league triumph on Friday.

The Bengals now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bluffton for a AAAA Region 7 contest on Tuesday, January 30.

The Sharks (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against James Island (Charleston, SC). The Trojans enter the AAAA Region 7 contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, James Island was defeated by Colleton County (Walterboro, SC), 69-58, in a league contest.
