New Mexico High School Basketball - Coronado tops Native American Community Academy
January 16, 2024: Gallina, NM 87017 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM) and the visiting Native American Community Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), saw Coronado's basketball squad knock off Native American Community Academy by a tally of 61-50.
With the victory, Coronado improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Leopards host Northwest (Shiprock, NM) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. Northwest lost 72-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT)
Next up, the Eagles play the Tierra Encantada (Santa Fe, NM) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Native American Community Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 56-31 non-league loss to Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM).
