January 16, 2024: Gruver, TX 79040 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) and the visiting Sunray Bobcats (Sunray, TX), saw Gruver's basketball squad overcome Sunray by a tally of 50-33.
With the victory, Gruver improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-11. Sanford-Fritch lost 43-39 in their recent league challenge against West Texas (Stinnett, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Sunray will attempt to improve on its 16-11 season record. The Elks come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 61-17 league win over Booker (Booker, TX).
