Ohio High School Basketball - Independence ripped by Walnut Ridge

The Walnut Ridge Scots basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Independence 76ers to 27 in the Scots league triumph on Tuesday.

The Scots now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Africentric Early College for a Columbus City - South contest on Friday, January 19. Walnut Ridge will battle a Nubians team coming off a 70-22 league win over Eastmoor Academy (Columbus, OH). The Nubians record now stands at 12-2.

The 76ers (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Marion-Franklin (Columbus, OH). The Red Devils enter the Columbus City - South contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Marion-Franklin was routed by Briggs (Columbus, OH), 49-34, in a league contest.
