Louisiana High School Basketball - Maurepas toppled by Covenant Christian Academy
January 16, 2025: Houma, LA 70364 Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Maurepas Wolves (Maurepas, LA), 53-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Covenant Christian Academy advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Lions host East St. John (Reserve, LA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 14-15. East St. John won 52-41 in their recent non-league match against West St. John (Edgard, LA)
The Wolves now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host False River for a C District 7 match on Friday, January 17. Maurepas will face a Gators squad coming off a 69-18 league win over Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA). The Gators record now stands at 9-14.
