North Carolina High School Basketball - Cox Mill fells A.L. Brown
January 16, 2026: Concord, NC 28027 The Cox Mill Chargers basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders to 51 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.
The Chargers now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Carolina International for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 20. Cox Mill will clash with a Comets squad coming off a 77-42 non-league loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Comets record now stands at 4-11.
The Wonders (2-13) will now prepare for their test against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines come into the Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A bout with a 8-8 record. In their last bout, West Cabarrus fell by Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC), 68-65, in a non-league bout.
