West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 62-58 in a league match.

With the victory, West Cabarrus upgrades its record to 11-9 on the year. The Wolverines host Olympic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Trojans in a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A match on Saturday, February 7. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 9-11. Olympic won 61-54 in their recent league match against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC)

The Chargers now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A game on Monday, February 9.
