Georgia High School Basketball - Fayette County overwhelmed by Spalding

In Friday's league test, the Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) basketball squad trounced the host Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA), by a tally of 77-55.

The Jaguars now possess a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Troup County for a AAA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 20. Spalding will play a Tigers team coming off a 81-53 league win over LaGrange (LaGrange, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Fayette County falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA) to play the Wildcats in a AAA Region 2 bout on Saturday, January 17. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Whitewater lost 45-43 in their recent league bout against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA)
