Ygnacio Valley Wolves (Concord, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Concord Bears (Concord, CA), 40-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ygnacio Valley upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA) to play the Ugly Eagles in a bout on Friday, January 19. The Ugly Eagles come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Clayton Valley Charter won 46-30 in their recent league bout against Miramonte (Orinda, CA)

Next up, the Bears play the Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Concord will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 69-54 league win over College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA).
