The Aldine Mustangs basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Nimitz Cougars to 69 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs (18-11) will now prepare for their contest against MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 8-14 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Westfield Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Nimitz will attempt to better on its 14-14 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 14-11 record after their 49-33 league win over Dekaney (Houston, TX).
