Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS), 71-55 in a league match.

With the victory, Northeast Lauderdale upgrades its record to 11-9 on the year. The Trojans host Leake Central (Carthage, MS) to battle the Gators in a 4A Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 24. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 17-5.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Choctaw Central will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record.
