Alaska High School Basketball - South Anchorage thwarts Lathrop
January 17, 2025: Anchorage, AK 99516 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) and the visiting Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), observed South Anchorage's basketball team knock off Lathrop by a score of 53-38.
The Wolverines (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK). The Nanooks come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Nome-Beltz prevailed over Wasilla (Wasilla, AK), 46-42, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Malemutes encounter the West Valley Wolf Pack (Fairbanks, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Lathrop will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Wolf Pack come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 67-30 non-league win over Eagle River (Eagle River, AK).
