In Tuesday's non-league outing, the North Mustangs (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), by a margin of 63-49.

The Mustangs (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede go into the 5A Metro 2 outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Fairfax topped Central (Phoenix, AZ), 70-60, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Basha for a 5A Central outing on Friday, January 21. Gilbert will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 47-43 league loss to Mountain View (Mesa, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 8-10.
