The Peoria Lions basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Canton Little Giants to 17 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomington for a Big Twelve contest on Thursday, January 20. Peoria will meet a Purple Raiders team coming off a 64-37 league win over Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 8-9.

The Little Giants (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Washington, IL). The Panthers enter the Mid-Illini contest with a 17-4 record. In their last contest, Washington triumphed over Normal University (Normal, IL), 49-31, in a non-league contest.
