North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland can't hold off Richmond

January 18, 2022: Laurinburg, NC 28352

The Richmond Raiders basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Scotland Fighting Scots to 52 in the Raiders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Raiders now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Lee for a 3A/4A Conference 24 contest on Thursday, January 20. Richmond will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 43-20 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-9.

Next up, the Fighting Scots play the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 bout, on Friday, January 21. Scotland will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Bucks come into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 64-30 league loss to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC).
