North Carolina High School Basketball - Richmond tops Union Pines

January 7, 2022: Cameron, NC 28326

Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Richmond upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Cape Fear Christian Academy (Erwin, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 15. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 9-2.

Next up, the Vikings play the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 24 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Union Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Bucks come into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 34-27 league loss to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).
