Nevada High School Basketball - North Valleys thwarts Hug

The North Valleys Panthers (Reno, NV) basketball knocked off the visiting Hug Hawks (Reno, NV), 56-39 in Wednesday's league test.

The Panthers (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vaqueros go into the non-league test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, Fernley notched a victory over Dayton (Dayton, NV), 70-43, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to South Tahoe for a 3A Northern - West test on Saturday, January 21. Hug will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 57-44 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV). The Vikings record now stands at 5-8.
