The Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball knocked off the host Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 48-30 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Redhawks (8-3) will now prepare for their test against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts go into the non-league test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, West Stanly notched a victory over Central Academy (Monroe, NC), 66-22, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Arborbrook Christian Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Union Academy will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 40-35 non-league loss to Lake Pointe Academy (York, SC). The Falcons record now stands at 3-7.
