Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC), 61-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern Guilford upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Storm travel to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Rockingham County lost 57-45 in their recent league bout against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Uwharrie Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
