North Carolina High School Basketball - Providence Grove nips Southern Guilford
December 6, 2022: Franklinville, NC 27233 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the visiting Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), saw Providence Grove's basketball squad hold off Southern Guilford by a tally of 47-41.
With the victory, Providence Grove improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Williams (Burlington, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Williams won 77-35 in their recent non-league bout against Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC)
Next up, the Storm clash with the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Southern Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 70-64 non-league win over Morehead (Eden, NC).
