Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) and the host Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), saw East Moline United's basketball squad hold off Rock Island by a tally of 48-44.

With the victory, East Moline United improves its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Benet Academy (Lisle, IL) to confront the Redwings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Redwings come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Benet Academy won 64-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL)
