January 18, 2024: Smithville, OK 74957 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Smithville Braves (Smithville, OK) and the visiting Valliant Bulldogs (Valliant, OK), saw Smithville's basketball squad hold off Valliant by a count of 35-32.
With the victory, Smithville upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Braves host Wright City (Wright City, OK) to play the Lumberjax in a McCurtain Six challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Lumberjax come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Wright City won 75-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Antlers (Antlers, OK)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Antlers Bearcats (Antlers, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Valliant will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 75-21 non-league loss to Wright City (Wright City, OK).
