New Jersey High School Basketball - Mahwah routs Hopatcong
January 18, 2025: Hopatcong, NJ 07843 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds basketball team scored a big 74-24 triumph over the Hopatcong Chiefs.
The Thunderbirds (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ). The Braves go into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Indian Hills smashed Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ), 64-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Chiefs confront the Kittatinny Regional Cougars (Newton, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial contest, on Monday, January 20. Hopatcong will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 66-50 non-league loss to Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ).
