New Jersey High School Basketball - Dover thwarts Hopatcong
January 6, 2025: Dover, NJ 07801 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Dover Tigers (Dover, NJ) and the visiting Hopatcong Chiefs (Hopatcong, NJ), observed Dover's basketball team knock off Hopatcong by a score of 55-40.
The Tigers (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson Township prevailed over Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ), 48-32, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Chiefs encounter the Parsippany Redhawks (Parsippany, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Hopatcong will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 51-33 non-league loss to West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ).
