Pennsylvania High School Basketball - McDowell nudges Pine-Richland
January 18, 2025: Erie, PA 16506 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) and the visiting Pine-Richland Rams (Gibsonia, PA), observed McDowell's basketball team edge Pine-Richland by a score of 61-56.
The Trojans (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Bulldogs come into the District 10 Region 7 challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Meadville edged Iroquois (Erie, PA), 65-33, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Rams encounter the Fox Chapel Foxes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Pine-Richland will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Foxes come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 37-35 league loss to Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA).
