Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Riverside Generals (Jacksonville, FL) and the visiting Fleming Island Golden Eagles (Orange Park, FL), saw Riverside's basketball squad hold off Fleming Island by a tally of 49-45.

With the victory, Riverside improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Santa Fe (Alachua, FL) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Santa Fe won 71-70 in their recent non-league challenge against Gainesville (Gainesville, FL)

Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the Clay Blue Devils (Green Cove Springs, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Fleming Island will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 63-46 non-league win over Middleburg (Middleburg, FL).
