Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) and the visiting Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), saw South Elgin's basketball squad hold off Larkin by a count of 58-56.

With the victory, South Elgin upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Central (Burlington, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 18-4. Central won 59-58 in their recent league challenge against Hampshire (Hampshire, IL)

Next up, the Royals play the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Larkin will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record.
