In Thursday's league outing, the Mineral Ridge Rams (Mineral Ridge, OH) basketball squad edged the host McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), by a count of 40-39.

The Rams (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Springfield (New Middletown, OH). The Tigers go into the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet outing with a 13-2 record. In their last outing, Springfield held off South Range (Canfield, OH), 47-33, in a non-league outing.
