January 19, 2023: West Suffield, CT 06093 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) and the host Suffield Wildcats (West Suffield, CT), saw Somers's basketball squad knock off Suffield by a tally of 50-36.
With the victory, Somers improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Granby Memorial (Granby, CT) to play the Bears in a North Central Connecticut challenge on Friday, January 20. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Granby Memorial won 58-38 in their recent league challenge against Suffield (West Suffield, CT)
Next up, the Wildcats play the East Windsor Panthers (East Windsor, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Friday, January 20. Suffield will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 41-33 non-league win over Tolland (Tolland, CT).
