January 9, 2023: Somers, CT 06071 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) and the visiting Suffield Wildcats (West Suffield, CT), saw Somers's basketball squad overcome Suffield by a tally of 52-40.
With the victory, Somers improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT) to play the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Northwestern Regional won 64-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Wolcott RVT (Torrington, CT)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Rockville Rams (Vernon, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Friday, January 13. Suffield will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 48-27 league loss to Canton (Canton, CT).
