New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley crushes Pojoaque Valley
January 19, 2023: Espanola, NM 87532 Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), 52-26 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Espanola Valley upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Pintos come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Moriarty won 38-37 in their recent non-league bout against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
Next up, the Elks/Elkettes play the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Pojoaque Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 31-24 non-league loss to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM).
