Georgia High School Basketball - Rome nips Allatoona
January 19, 2024: Rome, GA 30161 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rome Wolves (Rome, GA) and the visiting Allatoona Buccaneers (Acworth, GA), saw Rome's basketball squad hold off Allatoona by a count of 65-59.
With the victory, Rome upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Dalton (Dalton, GA) to play the Catamounts in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Catamounts come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Dalton won 51-41 in their recent league challenge against Cass (White, GA)
The Buccaneers now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Creekview for a AAAAAA Region 6 test on Monday, January 22. Allatoona will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 48-40 non-league loss to Cambridge (Milton, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-14.
