The Merritt Island Mustangs basketball team (Merritt Island, FL), was overwhelmed 60-39 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Cocoa Beach Minutemen (Cocoa Beach, FL)

The Minutemen now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Satellite for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 20. Cocoa Beach will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Heritage (Palm Bay, FL). The Scorpions record now stands at 12-4.

The Mustangs (5-13) will now prepare for their battle against Edgewood (Merritt Island, FL). The Red Wolves come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Edgewood was overwhelmed by Space Coast (Cocoa, FL), 58-48, in a non-league battle.
