Cook County Vikings (Grand Marais, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Ridge Panthers (Culver, MN), 68-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Cook County upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to Mesabi East (Aurora, MN) to play the Giants in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Giants go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Mesabi East won 84-66 in their recent non-league bout against Nashwauk-Keewatin (Nashwauk, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Proctor Rails (Proctor, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. South Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record.
