California High School Basketball - El Cajon Valley holds off Santana
January 19, 2024: Santee, CA 92071 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) and the host Santana Sultans (Santee, CA), saw El Cajon Valley's basketball squad hold off Santana by a tally of 51-45.
With the victory, El Cajon Valley improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Braves host Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Matadors in a Grossmont - Hills challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Matadors come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Mount Miguel won 64-56 in their recent league challenge against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA)
Next up, the Sultans confront the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Santana will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Foothillers come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 68-35 league loss to Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA).
