Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), 85-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Burke County upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Jenkins County (Millen, GA) to play the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The War Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Jenkins County won 34-32 in their recent league bout against Portal (Portal, GA)

Next up, the Sharks play the The Habersham School Patriots (Savannah, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Islands will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record.
