California High School Basketball - San Diego can't hold off Point Loma

The Point Loma Pointers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host San Diego Cavers to 40 in the Pointers league triumph on Friday.

The Pointers now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host University City for a Eastern contest on Friday, January 26. Point Loma will battle a Centurions team coming off a 47-10 league win over Lincoln (San Diego, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 11-9.

The Cavers (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA). The Marauders enter the Eastern contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Mira Mesa nudged Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA), 50-39, in a league contest.
