Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD) and the visiting Hill City Rangers (Hill City, SD), saw Custer's basketball squad hold off Hill City by a tally of 66-65.

With the victory, Custer improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD) to confront the Comets in a A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 11-0. Rapid City Christian won 58-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD)
