Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Gilman Greyhounds (Baltimore, MD) and the host McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD), saw Gilman's basketball squad hold off McDonogh by a tally of 57-51.

With the victory, Gilman improves its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to John Carroll (Bel Air, MD) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 25. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-10.

Next up, the Eagles play the St. Frances Academy Panthers (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A - Black challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. McDonogh will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record.
