South Dakota High School Basketball - Sturgis Brown overwhelms Lead-Deadwood
January 20, 2023: Lead, SD 57754 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD) and the host Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (Lead, SD), saw Sturgis Brown's basketball squad wallop Lead-Deadwood by a tally of 68-41.
With the victory, Sturgis Brown improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Scoopers travel to Hill City (Hill City, SD) to confront the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Hill City lost 66-65 in their recent league challenge against Custer (Custer, SD)
Next up, the Golddiggers confront the Hot Springs Bison (Hot Springs, SD) in a A Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Lead-Deadwood will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 9-0 record after their 55-51 league win over Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD).
